Good morning you lovely lot! After last weeks success, producing such wonderful and decorative pen work, I think I should have taken a break to slow things down a bit. I found myself struggling to draw anything, so I changed medium to see if that helped. Honestly, it felt like trying to draw blood from a stone, these are the results of this weeks challenge, I’m not in love with them.
Whilst trying to get each one of these pieces out of me felt somewhat torturous, I feel like there are elements in each that I would like to look into some more. I love the flat colours of the bottom three, I started mixing my watercolours with a white gouache paint to see what would happen with that. I’m also liking my colour choices and think I’m starting to get better at pairing and selecting colour palettes but I still have much to learn!
